Throughout her life Claudia Reeves, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, has
endeavored to capture her fleeting inspirations in different forms. During
her career, she moved to Philadelphia, and then eventually to New Jersey,
producing wearable art garments, some of which take the form of antique lace
collage pieces. The designs have diversified and transformed to include
a myriad of accessories incorporating painted and printed images applied
to silk and velvet.
Painting has emerged as an ongoing passion early in her life,
and Claudia studied commercial and visual arts at Georgia State University
in Atlanta. Those studies included jewelry and tapestry weaving. Her other
expressions include photography and jewelry design.
Music has also been a powerful driving force in Claudia's life;
guitar and flute have played an important role. This continuing
love has bloomed into writing and performing which now intersects with
painting to bring to life these instrument illuminations. Poetry, songs
and life's journey are the outcome, bridging the forms and expressions
of art in an ever evolving creative journey.
